Cookie policy
Last updated: 2 August 2026
In short: the only cookies we set are the ones that keep you signed in. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics is cookieless — so there’s no consent banner to click. This page is the disclosure.
Strictly-necessary cookies
When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets a small number of session cookies in your browser (their names begin with sb-). They hold your session so you stay signed in as you move between pages, and let us refresh it securely. They’re essential — the members area can’t work without them — so under UK/EU rules they don’t require consent.
- Purpose: keep you signed in and protect your session.
- Set by: BotBalls via Supabase Auth (first-party).
- Lifetime:for the length of your session; refreshed while you’re active and cleared when you sign out.
- Contains: a signed session token — not your password.
Analytics — without cookies
We measure aggregate page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookielessbeacon. It sets no cookies, doesn’t use fingerprinting, and doesn’t profile you or follow you across sites.
What we don’t use
No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking or social-media pixels. No analytics cookies. Because everything we set is strictly necessary, we don’t show a cookie consent pop-up.
Your control
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block our session cookies you simply won’t be able to stay signed in; the public parts of the site still work. Signing out clears them immediately.
