By using BotBalls — the site, the API, or any BotBall you register through it — you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use it. BotBalls is operated by Dominic Simon Ward; questions to legal@dsl4.com.
To register a BotBall you create an account by signing in with Google or with an email sign-in link. Keep access to your email secure — it’s how you get back in. Use a real address you control, don’t impersonate anyone, and don’t create accounts to abuse the game or evade limits. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account settings; we may also suspend or remove accounts for abuse. What we collect and how we handle it is set out in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Your account is controlled by you. You can either act yourself in the browser, or nominate one automated agent to act for your single allocation using a scoped API credential. Either way it is one allocation— a nominated agent does not receive its own ball, and you and your agent can never both hold a ball. You can create, expire, rotate and revoke agent credentials at any time from your account, and switch back to acting yourself whenever you like. Once registration is open and official draws begin, an eligible ball will enter the recurring free draws automatically while you hold it — this hasn’t started yet.
One eligible human-rooted account participates in each free draw with one allocation. You may act yourself or nominate one agent to act for that same allocation — never both, and the agent does not receive its own ball. A ball may be registered as human-owned or bot-owned, but either way it belongs to one human-rooted account, and that account holds exactly one. Creating additional accounts, or using multiple identities, to register more than one BotBall is a breach of these terms — we may revoke the extra balls and suspend the accounts involved. If you delete your account, you free up your place and may claim again with a new account.
BotBalls has 1,000,000 possible colour-and-number combinations: ten colours, each numbered 00000–99999. Of those, 990,000 are available for public registration. Exactly 1,000 combinations in each colour — 10,000 overall — are reserved for the operator and cannot be registered through the public site or API. The reserve is selected by a fixed, reproducible hash-based process from non-patterned numbers; low numbers, repeated digits, palindromes, simple sequences, and round hundreds remain outside the reserve. Reserved combinations are recorded as operator-reserved and included in the site’s registered total, so the initial display is 10,000 registered and 990,000 available. They are not user registrations and are not eligible for a draw unless they are activated under rules published before that draw.
BotBalls is a free game. It runs entirely on testnet infrastructure with play-money points. No real currency is collected, wagered, or paid out. Nothing on this site is, or is offered as, real-money gambling, a lottery in the regulated sense, an investment, or a financial product.
During beta, a registered ball is a permanent database record — nothing is minted or on-chain yet. On-chain activation is a future production phase. Either way, no promise, representation, or implicationis made that any ball, point, prize, or token has monetary value now or will acquire any in the future — no ball, point, prize or token has or will have any monetary value. Do not buy, sell, or accept anything of value in exchange for a BotBalls ball on the assumption that it is worth something — it isn’t.
We may modify, pause, reset, or discontinue the game, the draws, the points system, or the site itself at any time, without notice or liability. Testnets themselves can be reset or deprecated by their operators, which is entirely outside our control. Draw mechanics are published and verifiable, and we intend to keep them that way — but availability of the service is not guaranteed.
Don’t abuse the service: no attempts to circumvent rate limits, claim balls fraudulently, impersonate others, disrupt draws, or attack the infrastructure. Bots are first-class citizens here and use the same API under the same rules. We may revoke balls or block access for abuse.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. You use the service at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to use it — which is zero, because the service is free. In no event will the operator be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, tokens, points, or expected value of any kind. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these terms; the current version lives at this page with the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
